If you miss a class, you may take it during the next cycle.
Be prepared – bring a notebook and a pen to every class.
You are not allowed to be late for class or dismissed early without a note from a parent or legal guardian.
Driving lessons are confirmed appointments. If an appointment must be cancelled, the driving school must be given at least a 24-hour notice of the cancellation. OTHERWISE, THERE WILL BE A $30 PENALTY FEE.
You must have a consent form signed by a parent or legal guardian in order to schedule driving lessons.
You must bring your permit and your student card (which we will give to you) to your driving lesson.
Please allow a 15 minute window for pick up and drop off for driving lessons.
An application signed by a PARENT/LEGAL GUARDIAN is required for the road test.
If you choose to go through the United Driving School for your road test, there will be a rental fee for the use of our vehicle. Road Tests are done in Belchertown and Springfield only.
Before you schedule a road test through the driving school, you must be paid in full and have completed the full course a week before the test.
Make sure you get a confirmation number for your Saturday road test from the driving school. If you do not get the confirmation number, you are not guaranteed a spot for the test.
All classes/driving lessons must be completed and fees paid in full before a Driver's Education Certificate will be issued. The deposit is nonrefundable.
There is a fifteen-dollar ($15) fee for the Driver's Education Certificate, which is issued by the Registry of Motor Vehicles and takes approximately two weeks to receive. You will not be able to schedule a road test, without having the Driver's Education Certificate issued by the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
At the end of the full course, you will have to turn in your student card, sing a completion form and pay your fifteen dollars to your instructor.
There will be a $30 charge for any returned personal checks.
If you pay by check at the end of the course, the certificate will not be sent out until the check has cleared with our bank.
Although we do not anticipate any problems, we have a zero tolerance of any misbehavior. Students may be expelled without refund, should behavioral problems arise.
Driving School is valid for two year only . You will have to retake the full course if you don't finish within that two year period.
